Interlibrary Loan

If the book or article you need is missing, or if the Law Library does not own it, ask the reference librarian about interlibrary loan. UALR law students and faculty and Pulaski County attorneys and judges can usually borrow a book or obtain a copy of an article from another library free of charge. Occasionally, the lending library charges a fee. If this is the case, the charge is passed on to attorneys, but the Law Library pays it for faculty and student borrowers. If the material needed is short in length, the Law Library staff may be able to obtain it the same day via fax. If you need information about an item you are waiting for, contact ILL at 324-9991.

Computer Assisted Legal Research

The reference staff provides training to the first year students on Loislaw.com, Lexis and Westlaw as part of the Legal Research course. Additional training for students can be obtained upon request. Contact a reference librarian or student representative for more information.

Students who have received LEXIS, Loislaw and Westlaw training can perform law school research on their home computers after agreeing to the terms of use and receiving passwords. Contact Melissa Serfass or a student representative for details.
