  2. Attorneys and judges within the six-county area of Pulaski, Faulkner, Jefferson, Lonoke, Perry and Saline counties can check out circulating and overnight materials.
  3. Arkansas attorneys and judges outside the six-county area who obtain a library card can check out circulating materials (but not overnight materials.)
  4. Patrons with an ArkLink card from a participating institution can check out circulating materials.
  5. Law students who have reserved closed carrels can check out circulating materials, periodicals, reporters and A.L.R.s to a closed carrel until the end of the semester.

  7. Law faculty and staff can check out any materials except reference materials to their offices for an indefinite period. In return for this checkout privilege, library staff may inventory books in faculty and staff offices as necessary, and retrieve them if they are needed by a library user.
  8. Other library users can check out reserve materials, audio and video tapes, and CD-ROMs for library use only.

In some circumstances, librarians may grant special permission for other materials to circulate. All checked out materials are subject to recall if needed by another library user. Patrons will be asked to show identification before receiving circulation privileges. Those without appropriate identification may be refused circulation privileges.

Document Delivery

Our document delivery service will copy almost anything in the library collection for you. Material is delivered by fax or mail, or may be picked up at the circulation desk. Document delivery is open Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Charges for this service vary. Contact Jeff Woodmansee at 501.324.9991 for pricing information or to place an order.

Interlibrary Loan

If the book or article you need is missing, or if the Law Library does not own it, ask the reference librarian about interlibrary loan. UALR law students and faculty and Pulaski County attorneys and judges can usually borrow a book or obtain a copy of an article from another library free of charge. Occasionally, the lending library charges a fee. If this is the case, the charge is passed on to attorneys, but the Law Library pays it for faculty and student borrowers. If the material needed is short in length, the Law Library staff may be able to obtain it the same day via fax. If you need information about an item you are waiting for, contact Jeff Woodmansee at 501.324.9991.
